New Lighting ~ 3-17-10

We have been planning to get lighting in a few places in the house for a while now. It's been on Michael's "list" longer than it's been on my "list."

We definitely wanted to get it finished before the baby was born. So...we took the plunge.

Here are before and after pictures of the kitchen and hallway lighting. It's crazy how much of a difference it has made. We also added a dimmer switch in the hallway which has come in handy already for night time. We also added a light to Cameron's closet. It's amazing what you can see in there when you have light! And lastly we put an additional light in the attic so perhaps 1 day I can start going through the boxes up there.

We still need to purchase ceiling fans for the 3 other bedrooms within the next few months. And of course Michael's "list" still has several other projects on it. BUT...those will have to wait.

Census ~ 3-15-10

When we got home we found the much talked about CENSUS in our mailbox. Just as the letter before it asked, we filled it out and walked it back to the mailbox in a matter of about 15 minutes. Hopefully everyone else will do the same! The cost of sending people door to door not to mention all the letters have to be enormous. So the more people can do their part and turn the census in the less we will have to pay for the census, at least in theory, right!?!

Who do they have in charge of the census anyway!?!? A few days before I received the census paperwork I received a letter telling me I was expecting the census. And a few days after I send the census back I received a postcard telling me to make sure to return the census and how it was against the law not to. REALLY???? It has to be a MAN in charge of the census!

Mail those Census papers in people!!!!

Dentist and Park ~ 3-15-10

Cameron had his dentist check-up bright and early. The dentist was pleased with Cameron's teeth. The hygienist was able to get some troubling stains off of Cameron's teeth. Now he has pearly whites again. At the end of his visit he was able to get a balloon and plastic watch. While there we received the go ahead to begin using big boy toothpaste with fluoride, which means Cameron has to learn to spit out the toothpaste. It's quite funny watching him master this task!

After the dentist we went to the park. He climbed for a bit and went down the slide.

Unfortunately, Mommy didn't check the slide which was wet AND Cameron's bottom got all wet.

And this is how he walked ALL the way to the car because his bum was wet!

Going to the Park ~ 3-13-10

I met a lady online, on a website that I belong, who was requesting information about dentists and doctors in the area since they were new to the area. We decided to take our 3 year olds to the park. Cameron met a new friend and had fun!

Picking up the dog food ~ 3-9-10

We've been feeding our dogs dry food along with some wet food. Here Cameron spilled the dry food all over the kitchen floor and he helped Mommy by picking them up. He's such a GREAT boy!

Silly Boy ~ 3-8-10

Sometimes you just have to wonder what he is thinking.

I was trying to change Cameron's shirt so he could eat spaghetti. Let's just say he gets it everywhere and his black shirt is designated for spaghetti dinners. He wouldn't let me finish putting his shirt on and then he some how grabbed the bread to go on his plate!

What are we going to do with this crazy boy, besides love him to pieces???

Happy Birthday Daddy ~ 2-28-10

Michael turned the BIG 31 this year on 3-27. He is finally my age, for a few months that is. We went to Nana and Papa's to celebrate Daddy's birthday.
Cameron helped Nana put the candles in the cupcakes.
Helping Daddy blowing out the candles.

Cameron sported the Superman and SuperWoman rings that were on top of the cupcakes.
Cameron LOVES playing Daddy's IPhone these days.

Today kiddos are more technologically savvy than most adults. Cameron is definitely one of those kiddos. He can make Daddy's IPhone work better than I can!

Helping Nana and Papa in the yard ~ 2-27-10

We dropped by Nana and Papa's for the afternoon. They were replacing their gate on their fence and cleaning up the backyard. It was wonderful to see
Cameron so excited with tools. However, he didn't care for the electric saw. He got as far as he could away from it. Each time it was turned on he covered his ears to muffle the noise.

Giftcard from Papa and Nini ~ 2-27-10

Cameron received a giftcard for his birthday from Papa and Nini. I'm sure he will find something to purchase with it. He was so excited about it. He ran around the house for a while with excitement.

Breakfast for my little boy~ 2-23-10

As I've been trying to cook more dinner, I've also been attempting to make breakfast on Saturday's and Sunday's. This day we enjoyed yummy pancakes.

Daddy reading to Cameron ~ 2-18-10

Cameron loves reading his books and Michael is a great dad.

Cameron helping Mommy ~ 2-18-10

Cameron's been great about helping Mommy in the kitchen. Here Cameron is helping Mommy cook and trying to tighten the lid on his cup. You can barely tell but he is standing on a chair, as he almost always is when in the kitchen to see what is going on. Smart boy!

Cooking ahead~ 2-18-10

Thanks to my great friend Christy, I've been cooking ahead to prep and cook dinner quicker. It has worked great and makes dinner speed right along.
