Helping goes a LONG WAY ~ 1-26-10

There are a few sites that I visit regularly that I figured I would tell everyone about. By bookmarking these sites on your computer and spending no more than 2 minutes you can help out a lot. Have fun and tell me how it goes!

http://www.care2.com/click-to-donate/global-warming/
One Click to help stop global warming. The click is sponsored by Carbonfund.org who supports 3 carbon offset projects.

http://www.thehungersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=1
By clicking on the tabs at the top of the page you can help with Hunger, Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy, Rain Forest, and Animals.

http://www.freekibble.com/
By visiting and clicking each day you donate 10 pieces of food for every dog and cat question. That's 20 pieces of food a day. Doesn't sound like a lot but it adds up. This organization was started by a young teenage girl who wanted to make a difference.

http://www.couponquiz.com/
This site helps military family's. You can register or you don't have to. By registering you can see how much money you have donated. By answering 5 questions correctly about couponing you can donate up to $2.50 worth of coupons to families. It's hard to come by coupons when at an overseas military base so this is a worthy cause to a "military brat."

This baby is growing ~ 1-22-10

The baby is obviously growing. Here's my tummy at 19 weeks and 5 days. We are to the halfway point already. This little guy is moving ALL the time and definitely more than Cameron moved.

On Wednesday, Michael laid his hand on my belly and no sooner than it got there did the baby kick him. It was the first time he felt the baby and it was AWESOME!

Lots of Pictures ~ 1-22-10

A few weeks before Christmas my friend Christy alerted me to a WONDERFUL deal on Shutterfly.com. It is a site where you can order pictures and other picture items.

Due to getting 125 free prints and a $15 credit plus free shipping I was able to get 225 prints absolutely FREE! Of course that is only from birth through 7 months!

The pictures came in the mail today. Cameron and I began organizing them and putting them into a photo album.

Caught in the Act ~ 1-21-10

Cameron got really quiet and I thought he might be up to something. I came around the kitchen into the living room and sure enough he was playing with Daddy's PSP. The look if priceless.

It's a .........

BOY!!!

We found out today we are having a little boy. Everything looked fine on the ultrasound. Today was our first appointment with our new OB. Dr. Roberts mentioned that we would have a 3D ultrasound in 2 months to "check growth." I am 19 weeks 2 days. Our little boy is measuring 19 weeks 0 days in head size and 18 weeks 5 days for stomach size. The variation is to be expected and based on Cameron being on the smaller size Dr. Roberts is well aware that it's not something to be alarmed at this time around.

Weekend with Great Grandparents ~ 1-16-10

Chilling on the chair, playing with his toys, waiting on Ma and Eliseo to arrive.
Playing on his new convertible bench/table.

Eating a hot tortilla off the stove.

Cameron helping Michael role out a tortilla.

The master shows us how it's done!

Doggie in Time Out ~ 1-14-10

Kids will say and DO the darnedest of things. On this day Cameron decided that his doggie needed to go to "Time Out" exactly where Cameron has to sit when he has to visit "time out."

Going Fishing! ~ 1-12-10

Uncle Scott came over before he headed back to Austin. Cameron enticed him into a game of Go Fish. Except Cameron has learned how to get the advantage...he stops the spinning top to hook his fish!

Filling some BIG Shoes ~ 1-7-10

I think it might be a while before he can fill these shoes, but that doesn't stop him!

Did it get quiet in here? ~ 1-5-10

Cameron actually fell asleep underneath the chair. I was wondering why it got so quiet. Unfortunately, when I moved him he was no longer ready for bed.

Lot's of Sleep ~ 1-4-10

Cameron came home after being at Mommy's work for most of the day and slept most of the evening.

Being Silly

Here's Cameron with his new accordian and a party hat from his friend, Eleanor's birthday party.

All tuckered out from putting Christmas away ~ 1-3-10

We finally got around to putting away Christmas decorations. Here Cameron is waiting on Daddy to come down from the attic. He helped mom take the ornaments off the tree and pack everything up until next year.

Helping with the Dishes ~ 1-2-10

Cameron took it upon himself to put our breakfast dishes in the dishwasher. He is such a big help in the kitchen.

Helping Daddy with Dinner ~ 1-1-10

Cameron loves helping in the kitchen. Here he is helping Daddy with twice baked potatoes with our new Kitchen-Aid mixer.

Bowling for the first time ~ 12-30-09

While Cousin Stephanie and her fiance Michael were in town we figured we could come up with something to do. After Uncle Scott, Mommy, Stephanie, and Michael went to breakfast at a local bagel shop we decided to go bowling, which was Cameron's first time for both experiences. He even got his very own bagel at the bagel shop, complimentary, which I thought was really great of the shop.

Cameron had a lot of fun bowling. We really had to watch his little fingers closely as he was trying to rearrange the bowling balls on the rack, no surprise.

We plan to go again soon and actually let Cameron throw the ball down the lane.

That evening The Payne's, Stephanie, and Michael came over for a spaghetti dinner before heading back to Atlanta, GA.

New OB ~ 1-13-10

I'm VERY happy to say that we have found a New OB. I were really unhappy with our previous OB and really thought it was going to be very stressful (it was for a few days) to find another one.

I set up an appointment to go talk to a new OB and it was wonderful. His answers to our questions were right in line with what we wanted and he surprised us with a few.

So...It looks as though Dr. Roberts in Conroe is our new OB. There are several nice things about this doctor. His office is between Michael's work and our home and it's just him in his office which doesn't leave for overcrowded waiting rooms and minimum time to wait of 45 minutes or more.

We go back next week for our official first appointment with him. We will have an ultrasound done and with any luck find out what we are having, Boy or Girl.

I am so relieved and can start enjoying this pregnancy a little more.

Any guesses???

Baby Moving ~ 1-11-10

Fast forward temporarily...I've been feeling the baby move since Christmas Day. I SAW the baby moving in my belly today. Cameron would have seen it too if he would have watched long enough. He wanted to just put his hand on Mommy's belly, hoping to feel the baby. It was great and my favorite part of being pregnant. I will post a picture of "the belly" when I have a chance!

We are changing OB's and have an appointment set up with a new one today to see if we like him. He is between Michael's work and our house, about 1.5 miles from home. He's in a practice by himself which has it's pros and cons. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Amatuer Photographer ~ 12-24-09

Cameron loves taking pictures with Mommy's camera. Every time pictures are downloaded there's a surprise as to what will be downloaded. Here Cameron has taken pictures of his feet, Mommy working on his stocking, and Basia (Uncle Matthew and Aunt Christa's fur baby). Fortunately Cameron got a camera of his own for Christmas so perhaps he will find a true passion in photography.

Chef in Training ~ 12-24-09

Cameron loves helping in the kitchen. When Nana needed help making the Sausage Balls Cameron was the first one to volunteer.

Helping Mommy Pack Up ~ 12-24-09

Here Cameron is taking a break from helping Mommy pack up the Christmas presents to go to Nana's house for Christmas Day. I asked him to help place the presents in the laundry basket. When the basket was full he kept pushing the presents towards the basket and door. He's such a big help!

Opps, added too many in a day ~ 1-3-10

I added too many posts today so some of them are pushed to the next page. Go to the "Blog Archive" on the bottom right and it will show you all the of the posts for January. I'll upload more in a few days.

Also wanted to let you know that you can enter your email address in the "Subscribe" box on the top right and blogger will send you an email when I update the blog. How cool!

Much Love!

Tomatoes, Olive, & Avocado ~ 12-22-09

Our little man can not get enough of tomatoes and black olives. We added avocado to the mix for our tacos and he really enjoyed that also. It's crazy that we have to take away the tomatoes and black olives until we sit down for dinner or he will fill up on those prior to dinner.

No Santa this year! ~ 12-13-09

The last few years we have been invited to the Gullo Christmas Party which Mr. Gullo throws each year for the employees and their families. There are always great activities for the kids and a variety of food to eat. Each year, so far, we had the opportunity to get Cameron's picture taken with Santa. We thought last year would be the year that Cameron wouldn't want to sit with Santa. Nope...this year would be that year. This was as close as he got. He wanted no part of even getting near the sleigh with Mommy to tell Santa what he wanted. Better luck next year.

The last few years we sent out Cameron's picture with Santa with our Christmas cards. However, this year we had a change of plans and our "Big Brother" t-shirt picture was used instead.

Eating cereal with Daddy ~ 12-6-09

Cameron in front of the Christmas Tree ~ 12-6-09

After looking for and finding our tree, we came home, pulled everything down from the attic and got busy decorating. We really like the look of our tree. There were only 5 traditional balls on the tree. The rest of the balls were either from our yearly ornament exchange, those we acquired that held significant meaning, or my Li Bien ornaments that I collect every year from Pier 1 imports. I'd say our tree is personalized!

Found just the right one ~ 12-6-09

After looking for an artificial tree that would lasts years and years, we had NO luck. The places we had visited had only crummy trees remaining. So, what else were we to do but go pick out our own REAL tree. We searched through what seemed like a hundred trees before finally settling on this one. I think it had two seals of approval. Maybe we'll have better luck next year finding a tree that will last us quite a few years...
