Snow Update ~ 2-26-10

Unfortunately, the next morning after the snow the ground where we live was so dry that it was as if we hadn't seen a drop of snow/sleet/rain! So...we had to go to school. It was disappointing for kids and teachers alike. Heck, teachers were even praying for a delayed start to the day.

As I approached Willis, where I work, the ground and houses were still covered with a fair amount of snow and sleet. Kiddos came with great stories of snowball fights and seeing giant flakes. Wish we would have been so lucky 10 miles south of where they were. Maybe next year!

Snow & Doctor's Appt. ~ 2-23-10

Snow has been falling since about 2 this afternoon. Unfortunately, it isn't cold enough for it to stick. We supposed to continue getting it and receive about an inch or 2. Keep your fingers crossed school is canceled tomorrow! :)

On our way home today, Cameron and I stopped by the doctor's office for our monthly visit. The nurse found a VERY strong heartbeat and the doctor touched my belly for a few seconds and said all was well. I was in and out of the office in 15 minutes.

On March 16th, we will go to the doctor's Woodlands office to check out the baby's growth and hopefully get some cool 3-d pictures.

3 yr. doctor visit ~ 2-15-10

Cameron had his 3 year visit to his pediatrician, Dr. Schulte.

His stats:

Weight: 26 lbs (10 %)
Height: 34.5 inches (5%)
Head: 18.25 inches (less than 5%)

Cameron has always been in the 5th and 10th %, so we are not worried. He's been following his own curve. We've gone to his pediatrician since Cameron was born. She knows I'm small and Michael's not huge. I'm very comfortable with her and how she handles Cameron's low stats. We did blood work at his 2 yr appt. to check levels and get a base line in case we had to do more testing if he fell off the charts. And I'm grateful that has NOT happened!

It's amazing how big Cameron has gotten in the last 6 months!

Since we got called back so quickly we had to go play AFTER our appointment for a few minutes!

Cameron's First Bowling On His Own~ 2-14-10

We received an email about 99 cent bowling per game this weekend. So, since we didn't get to bowling last weekend we went today. Cameron had a great time and ACTUALLY bowled 2 games.
First throw down the lane with Daddy.

Then Cameron was on his own and threw almost all the rest by himself. We had bumpers up and he used them quite a bit (as well as MICHAEL)!

Such a handsome little man!

You can see for yourself Cameron scored 77 on his first game which isn't bad for a 3 year old!

My two men!

Daddy helping towards the end!

Then he scored 55 on his second game. I think he was getting pretty tired of throwing the ball down the lane. We had some interesting balls that actually rolled BACK to us!

We had compliments from ladies on both lanes beside us on Cameron doing so well, being a great boy and knowing what was going on around him!

Cars game and New Bench ~ 2-13-10

Uncle Scott came over for the afternoon and evening. Cameron and Scott enjoyed playing a CARS video game on the computer.

Then I put them to work putting together our new bench for our entry way. We had success and it's already being put to great use.

We now have a place to sit when we put on our shoes!

Chick-fil-a with Mommy ~ 2-13-10

I was alerted by my friend Christy about Chick-fil-a giving away FREE breakfast during February on Saturday mornings. So Cameron and I finished getting ready and went to snag some Chick-fil-a mini's. Breakfast was yummy. I am always impressed with Chick-fil-a on how nice and polite their employees are. When we visited yesterday the "hostess" lady who roams around the dining room approached us and put a place mat for Cameron down and gave him a hat to wear. We had a great discussion with a man at another table about how well-behaved Cameron was. Score one for us!

Much Worse Looking Now ~ 2-11-10

A few days ago I posted about Cameron and my fall in the garage on Monday. Our poor little man really shows the brunt of the fall. A day after the fall his eye was a little swollen and a ting of yellow. Boy that's not the case now. Every time I see it I feel really bad about it.

This picture was taken on Thursday and Cameron's eye looks even worse today. And to top it off Cameron fell and hit the other cheek and eye on the buggy at Walgreen's.

We have a 3 year check-up with Dr. Schulte on Monday. I really hope she doesn't call CPS on us. I guess I have documentation of the fall with my OB appointment on Tuesday!

We'll keep you posted on his stats. I'm anxious to see where he falls on his growth curve.

Playing PSP ~ 2-9-10

Cameron loves playing with Daddy's PSP.

And we all fall down...~2-8-10

Picture this...Pouring down rain, Cameron in my arms, and a VERY slippery garage floor. Spells disaster. When "they" say that pregnant women's balance is off you should believe them.

Cameron and I came home on Monday evening in the pouring rain. We sat in the car for what seemed like an eternity waiting on the rain to let up to no avail. I put Cameron in the front seat with me and we waited. When it seemed like it had let up a little bit we opened the door and ran into the garage. Or should I say slid into the garage. I had Cameron in my arms and we fell and slid the rest of the way in onto the wet garage floor.

When I was able to catch my breath I really thought I had broken Cameron's arm the way we landed. Fortunately he was more worried about being wet than hurting really. I called Michael immediately and fortunately he was already heading home. When he asked me if I was okay I responded, "I'm not sure yet."

The baby was moving almost immediately and after some reasurrances from a doctor's appointment on Tuesday with a VERY strong heartbeat we are fine. I am still sore and Cameron has his first REALLY black eye from hitting the concrete but we will survive.

Word of Advise: Don't carry anything unnecessary when it is raining outside and especially if you are pregnant.

Swollen eye the morning after fall.

Eye on the evening after the fall when we got home from school and work.

Showing off his "booboo" on his arm that had nothing to do with the fall.

After our doctor appointment we stopped by Sonic to grab dinner.

Here's Cameron squeezing out his ketchup on his corn dog.

After a few of his first onion rings he was ready to call dinner quits and give the rest to Mommy.

Silly Cameron ~ 2-1-10

You never know what our little man will do these days. Here he wrapped his "doggie bear" in a dish towel.
And the other picture is of him randomly taking pictures with my camera from his vantage point.

Playing ~ 1-31-10

Cameron playing a song for Mommy on his accordion and with his car station.

Bath Time ~ 1-24-10

Here is Cameron at bath time a few weeks ago. He LOVES his new bath towel that cousin Candace gave him for Christmas.

Look who's 3!!!!! ~ 2-7-10

Cameron Jacob turns 3 TODAY. Can't believe how time flies. The plan is to go bowling at the bowling alley and then to Nana and Papa's for food, football, and birthday fun.

Here Cameron is playing with his new "at home" bowling set.
Daddy was pretending to be the bumper pads.

Birthday Boy!
Cameron opening his new "Cars" computer from his sitter, Debbie. Man he loves that thing!
Mommy and Cameron had lunch at one of our favorite places.

Daddy went to play frisbee golf with Mark and Scott while Mommy and Cameron planned to go bowling. Well, the best laid plans some time just don't work out. It just so happened that a league was bowling and we were unable to bowl. Bummer but we survived and had a great evening. We headed to Nana and Papa's to enjoy the evening.

Helping Uncle Scott set up the pins.
Uncle Scott showing where the finger holes are.

Blowing the candles out using team work.
Opening presents!

Showing off his new guitar shirt.

Watching the SuperBowl with Mark.

Choosing Goldfish instead of cake and ice cream.

He decided to go for Daddy's cake and ice cream after all!

Happy Birthday Big Boy!!!!
