Birthday Cake ~ 9-4-10

Cameron's new thing is talking about his birthday, how old he will be, and making birthday cakes. Here's his world renowned TP Birthday Cake!

End of Week 2 ~ 9-3-10

End of the 2nd week of school and work. Still going strong.

What's different with this picture? ~ 9-2-10

When we get home in the afternoon it's a process of what has to happen for our evening to start. We have to get everyone in the house, get mom's school bag inside, put Braydon's milk in the fridge, take the bottles from the day and put them in the sink, get Braydon's next bottle ready, wash bottles and freeze excess milk. And that's all in about the first 30-45 minutes of being home. This particular day Cameron decided to unload the bag I take bottles to and from in. He made sure to turn the bottle upside down rather than right side up *just* to be silly.

A bit neurotic and a trip to Nana & Papa's~ 8-29-10

We occasionally wonder where Cameron comes up with these tensencies. I wonder...notice the water bottles spaced evenly on top of the 12 packs.

Can we get through the first week? ~ 8-29-10

We weren't even through the first week before Cameron came home with a runny nose. I guess it comes with the territory but couldn't it have waited a few months?

Gotta love that face ~ 8-28-10

Gotta love that face!

Snoozing good ~ 8-28-10

Braydon likes snoozing on his boppy pillow. Looks comfy, huh?

A frog? ~ 8-26-10

What are your thoughts? Cameron says it is a frog and I guess the creator is correct. I'm leaning more towards turtle.

Cameron made this his 3rd day of school. Poor deprived child - I can probably count on one hand the number of times he has played with play-do. Though, I'm certain he had a blast. I was always afraid of where it would end up. There is no fear if it's at school! It's not as though he doesn't have anything to play with at home - have you seen all his toys?

Helping with the cans ~ 8-26-10

We have several areas of recycling in our house. One of those areas is in the laundry room. All of the cans go in one of the bins and when it get too full we take them out to the garage to crush them. Let's just say that the bin was overflowing. So, Cameron took it upon himself to bag them up and put them by the garage door so we could take care of them. Such a helpful young man and to think he did it without Mom asking.

10 weeks old, already? ~ 8-25-10

Braydon Andrew ~ 10 weeks old

First day at Pre-k ~ 8-24-10

My baby is growing up. Today was Cameron's FIRST DAY OF PRE-K! Crazy! Cameron came home with a daily folder. It has notes for the day, any notes from the teacher, and papers Cameron has colored or created from the day.

Meet the Teacher ~ 8-23-10

The evening before school started the elementary schools have "Meet the Teacher." I was thankful as I wouldn't have a chance to take him to school the next day and I wanted to drop off his 20 pounds of supplies without him tipping over on his way to school the next day. I'm not apprehensive about him going to Pre-k at all...well maybe a little. But I KNOW Cameron is in GREAT hands. I guess it's payback in a great way. I taught his teacher's son a few years ago. As a result we were in constant communication and we have a relationship which is a great segway for Cameron this year. I have all the faith in the world in Mrs. S and that Cameron will learn a great deal this year.
Cameron started exploring right away.

Getting his first drink at the water fountain.

First day at daycare ~ 8-23-10

Cameron had his first day of daycare. So sad for mommy because I can't protect him as much as I would like and he's not as sheltered as he was at Debbie's. But...mom will adjust. I realized very quickly it was mom who had to overcome the obstacle not Cameron. Cameron had a great time playing with all of his new friends.

New tennis shoes and backpack ~ 8-22-10

For school Cameron got a new backpack (a few months ago) when we came across it and new tennis shoes. Somehow I missed grabbing a shot of his new shoes.

A stroll ~ 8-21-10

After Michael got off of work we decided to take a stroll around the block. Cameron had a blast riding his bicycle and Braydon enjoyed it so much he was lulled to sleep.

Hold onto your scissors ~ 8-21-10

All Cameron wants to do these days is use the scissors. I'm trying to set boundaries and keep all the mess in a centralized location but some how I find little pieces of paper everywhere. So far he hasn't cut up something that's irreplaceable - thank goodness!

School hair cut ~ 8-21-10

Starting school means a school hair cut. We went over to get a hair cut from our favorite barber - Steve. Although I never know whether Cameron will be a big boy or not and me have to stand in front of him getting hair ALL over me while the hair cut commences. Fortunately for everyone he was excellent.

How mischievous is this face?

Climbing up in the big chair!

Such a handsome young man!

First email from Cameron's teacher ~ 8-20-10

Of course checking out what was going on with my baby boy I emailed his teacher. And of course they think he is just fabulous. Here's what Mrs. S had to say in the first 2 emails.

"Mrs. Brown and I were just talking about just how cute, adorable and sweet he is, he is a charmer!!!!" and "
He is soooooo sooooooo cute!!"

Boy does he have them fooled already?!?

Braydon's 2 month Check-up ~ 8-17-10

There's nothing like asking your 'new' boss if you can take off a little early for your first official day at work. But because Braydon had his 2 month well baby check-up that's what I did.

We had a great visit. Braydon is growing like a weed. He received 3 shots and an oral vaccine.

We also got the results of Braydon's 1 month Echocardiogram. It looks as though Braydon still has 2 *tiny* holes in his heart. Dr. S suggested we schedule another Echo at our 6 month visit. I asked her what we should be looking for as signs Braydon may be having problems as a result of the PDA and PFO holes. She said one sign is lack of weight gain. You can take a look and see that is certainly NOT the case with our baby boy.

Stats:

Weight: 17 lb. 6 oz. - 90th percentile
Length 25.75 in - 70th percentile
Head Size: 16.75 in - 50th percentile

Two brothers almost the same size!

Cameron enjoyed playing while we were waiting for Dr. S and it's great for her to see how big he is getting.

Cameron hanging out with Uncle Scott ~ 8-17-10

Since I had to go back to work and Cameron had a week before starting school, I really didn't want to send him to daycare for that week. I think it was more my problem than his - I know it was. Fortunately for both of us, Uncle Scott was looking for work and I knew that he and Cameron would have a blast with one another.

Last day with Mommy before heading to work ~ 8-16-10

Since it was my last official day before heading back to work, Cameron and I took a few things up to school and decided to get a jump start on the week. It was nice to get a chance to visit with him - just him - for the day.

First Day for Sitter for Braydon ~ 8-16-10

Back to school means time for the sitter for Braydon and daycare for Cameron. Too bad we don't have an on-site daycare for Braydon but fortunate for us we have Mrs. Debbie to watch Braydon. She has watched Cameron since he was 10 months old and I am SO happy we have her now for Braydon.

Last Hoorah before Back to School ~ 8-15-10

This year was the second time we have gotten together with friends for a gathering around the pool that included food and fun. While I didn't take many pictures we had a GREAT time!

Here is Braydon with Logan - Angela's son. You would think they are about the same age, but no. Logan is

Here Cameron is having lunch with Alexis and Sierra. It's amazing how much a kid will eat when he is around others who are also eating!

New surroundings - activity center ~ 8-14-10

It was time to find some new surroundings for Braydon and give mom a break. He seems to like it.

Feeling Blue ~ 8-14-10

Like father like sons... Cameron wanted to put a shirt on like daddy. So just for kicks Braydon needed a blue onesie for the day.

Trouble ~ 8-13-10

These two will be T. R.O.U.B.L.E in no time but aren't they so adorable.

Messy boy ~ 8-13-10

As Michael says to me on occasion, "Only a momma can love a face like that." I think this occasion counts as one of those.

Cameron to the Dentist ~ 8-12-10

It was that time again and Cameron needed to go for his check-up. It was about as smooth as his last visit - not good. Hopefully it will go better next time.

Bath Time & 8 weeks ~ 8-11-10

Braydon Andrew ~ 8 weeks

It's crazy how fast 8 weeks can go by.

What did he do? ~ 8-9-10

What happened?

Turns out Cameron was trying to brush his teeth - guess he doesn't know that he doesn't have any yet.

Just because!

Just a swinging ~ 8-8-10

Which one of these belong in the picture?

FYI: The swing DID get dusted - just wanted to make sure it was time to dust off and that Braydon was big enough for it.

Visit from family ~ 8-7-10

Since the family was here we decided to visit the Children's Museum nearby. We had never gone and for a few bucks per person we had a good time.
Here are a few pictures of before we went - the boys playing golf in the house and lots of pictures of everyone at the museum.

Scott joined us at the museum and helped entertain.

Playing in the sand

Playing in the truck

Exploring wind energy

Obstacle Course

Playing with cars

Braydon snoozing through all the fun

Who's gonna win - Cameron or Uncle Scott?

VERY Cool art project with paint and marbles!

Plating in the house

Is it a worm?
