Field Trip to SHSU and friends~ 3-15-12

The boys and I took a trip to SHSU. I needed to pick up 2 transcripts for 2 scholarships I filled out, get an ID made, and visit the bookstore to find Uncle Scott a computer program. I was a bit anxious to go to campus. I knew the building I needed to start at which was at the visitor center to confirm where I needed to go for the rest of the visit.

 On our way over to the book store we came across the cheerleaders practicing. The boys were mesmerized.

 Had to stop at the water fall.

 And although I didn't get a picture, as we were walking from the water fall to the bookstore the mascot came over to us and wanted to shake the boys hands. They settled for saying Hi from afar!

 The building we went into for my id card and houses financial offices was in a previous life the library. So neat to see the history.

 I always have to get a picture and show respects to the military personnel who mold our past, present, and future military, even if it's not the Air Force!

We had a great trip and since we were nearby we dropped by our friend Angela's.

Visit from S and A ~ 3-15-12

Miss S and Miss A came to visit while their mom ran an errand. Braydon was just a tad bit jeaslous of Miss A. She sat in his chair for a few minutes while I was doing something in the kitchen. Later I asked Miss A if she was ready to eat and Braydon walked over to his highchair, put his hands on the highchair and said "No!" Guess he 's a little too young to appreciate a girl other than his momma! I'll take that for now.

I am so thankful to have friends that have kids around the boys age.

Visit to the Zoo ~ 3-14-12

We decided to go to the zoo as a family. The boys and I were glad to have Michael join us for the first trip as a family. Unfortunately, we didn't take into account that half of Houston would be there also. We had to park away from the zoo and ride a bus to the front door. That was quite a feat in itself. Imagine, 2 kids, stroller, diaper bag, lunch bag and the 2 adults in the bunch separated on opposite ends of the bus. Yep, great start! But a positive, our first time on a city bus!

After finally getting there we started by the giraffe's.

Throughout the day we saw all kinds of animals, including gorilla's, longhorns, elephants, lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!

 And this is a cool house that is not far from the zoo. It's really cool looking sitting on the side and above the highway.
