I was quite shocked to open the Old Man this year. He has already found a great perch to watch over our house this year.The Old Man is a family tradition of Michael's family that Janet, Michael's mom, started as a gag gift to Gary's mom one year. Then Gary's mom gave it back to her thus starting the tradition of giving it to someone in the family each year.
