We spent our usual Sunday's at The Payne's. It was an extra special since we were celebrating my birthday on July 5th. This year was especially difficult. My mom passed away 8 days after her 33rd birthday. Although unfounded fear, the fear of that happening to me was definitely felt. Rationally I know that I don't have rheumatoid arthritis like my mom, or had pneumonia 3 times in the last year, or taking steroids and anti-cancer drugs for treatment, but the fear was still there. It seemed like a weight had been lifted as the time passed by.
To pass the day we enjoyed lounging in the pool, opening presents, eating good food, and enjoying great company.
