So I forgot to post about the bad news we had when we got back from our Spring Break trip. So...When we arrived at home on Sunday from Oklahoma there was a card on the front door from a "Supreme Court Magistrate." The business card was one of those "print your own" cards so I promptly put it in the recycling bin. I figured there was NO way anyone could need to give US anything. Well, not exactly. We set up a time the next evening to meet the court representative...

On my way to the grocery store a little while later, I discovered a not so lovely envelope in the mailbox. It was a letter from the IRS that stated we had not included ALL of our income on our 2008 taxes. After investigating within the week that followed we (Michael) left off some of his income from Toyota. The mistake cost us $515! ($20 of which was interest) As much as it stunk to have to pay it was okay. (I still love ya, hubby!)

Back to the court representative ~ We met her on Monday evening. After reading through the papers I can confidently say "I am being SUED!" Yep, our builder didn't pay at least one of their bills and WE are being sued by the company wanting their money for some "fixtures" in our house. Now that it's been a few weeks, not to mention Michael handling almost all of the trouble, I think things have been taken care of and we are waiting on the company that took over our title on the house - because the original title company went out of business also - to pay our claim. I'll be happy when they say everything is taken care of. More to come if any more surprises pop up with this!
