I was picking Braydon up at the sitters today and he got his first major ouchie. The sitter and I were talking about how she couldn't keep Braydon away from the fire place brick surround. (Can you see where this is going?) He continued to try to pull up on it to stand even with her persuading him not to go near it.I went into the kitchen with the sitter to round up the bottles and bag. Next thing we hear is Braydon started really crying. So I rushed back in and he was on the floor. I picked him up and held him close for a moment. Then I leaned him back and there was blood everywhere. He had hit just above his eye on the fire place. We tried putting ice on it but he didn't want it anywhere near him.
In hindsight he might have needed a stitch, but he's a boy and I really doubt he would have sat still for that.
As you can see it didn't affect his eating and sharing with big brother.
