Garden: Step 4 ~ 4-20-11

The next step in the garden is to get soil for plants to grow in. Our neighbor owns a dump truck and we arranged for him to pick up 4 yards of dirt for us. It was an interesting ordeal.


I thought it was going to be a REALLY expensive delivery as our neighbor almost hit our house with the dump truck when dumping the soil. We would have really been kicking ourselves then. We had him deliver it to save us time and money with multiple trips. Joke would have been on us then. Fortunately for us he is talented enough to dump the soil without hitting our house.

Lesson: Don't bother putting down a tarp. It only gets torn up when you scoop the dirt off of it!
